Where you sell
Inside Telegram, open @TgStarStore_bot, tap Start, and launch the StarStore Mini App. In a browser, go to starstore.app/sell and sign in with Telegram when asked. Either way, the Stars themselves are paid through Telegram's own invoice, so your account and your Stars never leave Telegram's hands until you confirm.
How to sell Telegram Stars: step by step
- Open the Sell page in the Mini App or at starstore.app.
- Enter the number of Stars you want to sell (50 minimum, 80,000 maximum per order). The USDT you will receive is shown as you type.
- Paste your USDT on TON wallet address. A memo is optional: add one only if your exchange asks for it.
- Tap Continue and pay the Stars through Telegram's invoice. You get an order ID straight away.
- Your sale enters a 21-day holding window. After it clears, your USDT is sent to your wallet.
- Send your order ID to the bot at any time to check its status.
USDT on TON, and the TRC-20 exception
We pay in USDT on TON, and that is what we recommend: it is fast, cheap, and works with Telegram's own wallet and every major TON wallet. If you can only receive USDT on TRC-20 (the Tron network), we can pay there as an exception, but an additional transaction fee applies, which matters most on small payouts.
Changing your payout address after you sell
Pasted the wrong address, or changed wallets during the hold? Send /wallet to @TgStarStore_bot. It lists your open sell orders; pick the one to change, send the new address, and add a memo or skip it. The change is reviewed and the bot confirms once your order carries the new address. Do it before the hold ends, while the order is still open.
Why is there a 21-day holding window?
Stars are bought through third-party payment rails (cards, wallets, processors) that can reverse a charge days or weeks later. The 21-day hold mirrors Telegram's own Stars-revenue window and protects against chargebacks; which is exactly what keeps StarStore's payouts reliable and our fees low.
